Public Transport

By bus

Travelling from Amsterdam to Volendam by bus is quick and affordable. Take bus 316 from Amsterdam Centraal, which will take you to Volendam in about 30 minutes.

Cost: A single ticket costs about €4.70 and you can pay with the Amsterdam City Card. The bus stops at Volendam Centrum, within walking distance of both the Volendam Museum and Volendam Harbour. Hotel Spaander is about 600 metres on foot.

From Hoorn

Take bus 314 to Edam (bus station). There, change to bus 110 or 316 towards Volendam and get off at bus stop ‘Julianaweg / Centrum’.

From Schiphol

From Schiphol Airport, fast train connections run to Amsterdam Central Station. From there you can take a bus to Volendam.

Taxi

Taxis are widely available in Volendam.

Hotel → Amsterdam Central: ± 20 minutes
Schiphol → Hotel Spaander: ± 45 minutes
