Rich in history and tradition or in contemporary Dutch Art?
Hotel Spaander became a household name in the artist world. Artists of all stripes populated the hotel. In the late 19th Century as the hotel café-restaurant became more popular with travellers from all over the world, my wife and I built studios behind the hotel so they could work, stay and play here.
Time travel
I have always kept part of our rooms in the style of the time they were constructed. This enables you to travel through the history of Hotel Spaander: from the late 1800's to the early 2000's. Amazement guaranteed!
A room for everyone
Whichever room you choose, rest assured you will sleep in comfort with our crisp linen and wake up feeling fresh to coffee or tea with views over the Markermeer or village before a warm shower with toiletries and soft towels.
Room with a view
Many of our historic bedrooms are complimented with views over the classical and architecture Dutch village. The more modern bedrooms at the back of the hotel have beautiful views over Markermeer and harbour.

Our modern rooms are bright and airy! Some with views overlooking the Markermeer with a balcony and super comfortable twin beds, this is ideal to find rest and peace for a good night's sleep. The en-suite comes with a shower and toiletries.
